When the rescuers found Harika lying on the side of the road, he was in a terrible condition. He was so dehydrated that his skin had lost its elasticity, and most of his hair was missing. His skin was dry and cracked, and infected. Harika was like a skeleton with skin stretched over it.
It was hard for the rescuers to find a place to put the needle to give him fluids. The smell coming from his infected skin was unbearable. But despite all of this, the rescuers refused to give up on Harika.
After being taken to the vet, Harika was diagnosed with distemper. But he was a fighter, and he kept on getting better day by day. He was too weak to sit, stand, or lift his head. But he slowly began to eat recovery food and even peed. The rescuers were carefully optimistic that he might pull through.
Over the next few days, Harika continued to improve. He tried to walk around a bit and even played with some toys. Eventually, Harika was ready to be adopted, and a family from the Netherlands reached out to the rescuers. Harika found his forever home, and he was on his way to the Netherlands.
Today, Harika is a beautiful young dog, and he is living happily with his forever family. His journey from near death to his forever home is nothing short of a miracle. Thanks to the dedication of the rescuers and the love of his forever family, Harika has overcome the odds and is now thriving.
