Betty Boop, a 10 to 12-week-old puppy, was found in a dire condition by a kind-hearted person who couldn’t leave her to suffer. The little pup was covered in ticks and had a busted leg that had been left untreated for at least a week. Her body was fragile, full of wounds, and extremely weak. Betty was in critical condition, and her temperature was dropping, so a heat pad was put in to keep her warm.

Betty’s story is a heartbreaking example of how humans can be so cruel to innocent animals. Betty never asked to be born into a world of suffering and pain. She was just a baby who had been dealt a terrible hand. Her leg had to be amputated, and she needed to be shaved to remove the ticks and keep her clean while receiving treatment.

The surgery was successful, and Betty’s condition began to stabilize. She had a good appetite, and her body temperature went up to 39 degrees in the early morning after the surgery. However, due to her fragile state, Betty couldn’t be given anything substantial to remove the 100+ ticks on her body. A light external spray was used until she was strong enough to receive proper treatment.

Betty’s condition continued to improve, and she didn’t show any other symptoms such as Distemper or Parvo. The vet visited her again in the afternoon, and she was stable with a full belly of good nutrition. Although she was initially wary of being petted, Betty soon grew to love the affection and attention she received.

A week later, Betty’s health had significantly improved, and she began to play. A month after her rescue, Betty was adopted by a loving family who welcomed her into their home with open arms. Her hair grew quickly, and she had her first haircut to keep her looking tidy.

Betty loves her new home, and her family takes excellent care of her. She even had her first beach day, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Betty’s story is one of hope and resilience, showing that even the most vulnerable creatures can overcome incredible obstacles with the help of kind-hearted people. We must continue to be vigilant and fight against animal cruelty to ensure that more animals like Betty can find their happy endings.
